How much does the Claude API cost per 1M tokens?

As of 2026-10-10, Claude Sonnet 4.6 costs $1.15 per 1M input tokens and $5.74 per 1M output tokens (official $3.00 / $15.00); the newer and cheaper Claude Sonnet 5.5 costs $0.77 / $3.82 (official $2.00 / $10.00). Every other Claude model is in the table above.

How are cache reads and writes billed?

Per token, at the cache-write and cache-read prices in the table. For Claude Sonnet 4.6, writing to the cache costs $1.44 per 1M tokens and reading from it $0.12 per 1M tokens, against $1.15 for normal input. Input that is not read from the cache is billed at the input price.

What is the minimum top-up?

$10 by card or crypto, or ¥20 via Alipay or WeChat Pay. There is no subscription and no monthly fee.

Do prices change with load?
